Conca accepts ban

Four players have accepted AFL Match Review Panel sanctions including Tiger Reece Conca.

Conca has accepted a three-match suspension for his off the ball bump on North Melbourne's Leigh Adams at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.

But under new pre-season rules the Tigers midfielder can serve his suspension through the pre-season meaning he will be available for Richmond's season-opener against Carlton.

Conca collided with Adams about 40m off the ball in the NAB Cup opener and the North Melbourne midfielder was left motionless for about three minutes by being assisted from the field.

By contesting the charge he would have risked being rubbed out for an extra week.

Meanwhile, Kangaroo Lindsay Thomas accepted a reprimand with 60 carry-over points for striking Conca and Fremantle's Josh Mellington and Essendon's Leroy Jetta have each accepted $900 fines for wrestling.
