Phil Mickelson and PGA champion Keegan Bradley share a one-stroke lead after the third round of the Northern Trust Open at the Riviera Country Club.

Bradley shot a five-under 66 on Saturday to finish on seven under, while Mickelson provided constant entertainment in his one-under 70 in Pacific Palisades.

Bradley got off to a good start on the third day with a birdie on the first hole, his first of six for the day, alongside just one bogey on the 11th.

Mickelson regularly found his own way around Riviera, including his drive on the 15th that ended up lodged in a spectator's shorts, and he showed incredible creativity and skill to get himself out of those difficult situations.

Bradley and Mickelson are one shot ahead of three more Americans - Bryce Molder, Jonathan Byrd and Pat Perez, while defending champion Aaron Baddeley and world number 10 Dustin Johnson join Bill Haas a shot back on five under.

American Ryan Moore and Australian Jarrod Lyle are tied for ninth place on four under the card.
